#Grattitude – Week of Dec 13th, 2019

Here’s this week’s #Grattitudes – a list of what I’ve enjoyed, appreciated, or discovered:

1. a healthier alternative to salt & vinegar chips-

I was hungry while grocery shopping, and picked these up in a pinch.

If you love salt & vinegar chips as much as I do, you gotta try these. They’re so satisfying to eat, and they’re filling, too. I had to force myself not to eat the whole can so I could bring some home for Brandon to try. He’s a fan as well.

We’ve since placed an order on Amazon for two 1lb bags!

2. magnetic ruler bookmarks-

I picked up 2 more of these magnetic bookmarks recently (I think I may have shared these in another email some time ago.)

They’re my favorite because they don’t fall off the pages of my paperbacks. I only wish they came in inches instead of centimeters. That would come in pretty handy for measuring things on the fly. Also when I unfold it, I can use it to draw a straight line (although I’ve yet to use it for this purpose).

Hmm, it may be a good idea for me to use one in my journal!

3. hitting my 2019 reading goal-

I finally hit my goal of reading 12 books (not counting audiobooks) this year! I think I may even be able to squeeze in a 13th before the year ends.

This was the first time I set a concrete goal (by participating in the Goodreads reading challenge) vs. picking a random number in my head and not following through on it because I forgot I made this deal with myself (can you relate?)

I’m currently reading You Are a Badass at Making Money and it’s starting to help me uncover some of my self-limiting beliefs about money (ones I didn’t even know I have… like how I feel towards it based on my conservative upbringing.) I like that the book encourages me to change my mindset and thoughts around making lots of it so I can do, give, and be more of who I am. Really encouraging!

If you’ve read this book and created positive results for yourself, I would LOVE to hear about it. Please comment below and let me know.

4. work space-

THIS is my favorite spot to work twice a week.. and for some magical reason, every single time I arrive at the coffee shop, this big table is wide open!

One of my big dreams is to have a floor in our future house where I can have a dedicated co-working space with a dining table that seats 10 (like the one above) and my friends can come over to work alongside me.

In this room, I also want a fridge stocked with sparkling water and a coffee machine that they can help themselves to. Working on *manifesting* this!!

5. making friends with my enemy-

Brandon recently got an Echo Dot for our bedroom so that I wouldn’t have to yell for Alexa in the living room.

I was initially not into this idea because I have beef with her (I’m convinced she plays dumb with me and only responds to Brandon) and didn’t want another one in our home. But because it’s set up right next to my bed, I can quietly tell her to turn off our nightstand lamps, set my alarm clock to whatever song I want to wake up to, and it also functions as a speaker for when I watch TV shows on my MacBook… and I gotta say it’s been pretty sweet having her around.

More than the device itself, I am thankful for how my husband likes to make things easier and better for me in the ways he can.
