#Grattitude – Week of Nov 29th, 2019

Here’s this week’s #Grattitudes – a list of what I’ve enjoyed, appreciated, or discovered:

1. my birthday-

On Wednesday, I turned 34 years old!

I can confidently say that I am loving the person that I am becoming. 34 is going to be an awesome year for me.. I can feel it in my bones.

Thank you for all the birthday love! I’m still working on getting back to everyone 🙂

2. growing comfortable in my bare skin-

There were several days this week when I just did not want to wear makeup in public, and so I didn’t.

This might not seem like a big deal to most people, but to me it really is. I recently shared my thoughts on this whole not-wearing-makeup thing in this Instagram post, and putting that out in public sparked something in me.

Looking forward to where this first step leads.

3. YouTube video that lulls me to sleep-

I have been listening to this calming sound bath video when I need a little extra help falling asleep.

ASMR doesn’t really do it for me (unless I’m in a specific mood to watch someone eat crispy fried chicken, which is pretty rare), but something about the crystal singing bowls does ????????‍♀️. Each time I’ve played the singing bowls video, I passed out before it was over.

4. Aja Dang’s debt free video-

I have been watching Aja Dang’s YouTube channel on and off for several years now, and I still remember the Vlogmas episode where she opened up about exactly how much debt she’s in. Since then, she’s been uploading monthly budget videos where she shares spreadsheets of all of her expenses and income. I was shocked to see how transparent she was with all of this!

Fast forward 2 years later… she recently announced that she is now debt-free. This woman paid off almost $200,000 of student loan debt in a year and 11 months. I was on the edge of my seat watching her debt free video. And of course I teared up cuz I am so FREAKING happy for her!!

If you’re currently discouraged by the amount of debt you have, I hope her story can be a source of inspiration for you.

5. a new-to-me couple I adore-

I’m not too familiar with motivational speaker/storyteller Jay Shetty, but I have heard about him in passing and have only recently started following him and his gorgeous wife on Instagram. I watched the video of him interviewing his wife for the first time for his podcast, and I absolutely loved listening to this conversation while baking Brandon’s favorite banana bread.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this batch tastes extra delicious because I swear all the love I felt from this interview transferred into the bread, haha. If you decide to listen to it, I hope you enjoy it,
